The LYFE Collective... a place where we Practice LYFE together and share our wisdom

Your practicing something. Right now. Whether you realize it or not.

Staying connected to yourself changes how you live. Over time it becomes:

  • how you listen
  • how you lead
  • how you relate
  • how to respond in alignment with how you want to show up

What you're living becomes part of your practice.
What you've lived becomes part of someone else's possibility.

WHY PRACTICE?

You probably already know what you're supposed to do in those moments.

Take a breath. Stay present. Listen. Don't react. Choose differently.

You've read about it. Maybe you've worked with a coach or therapist on it. You understand it intellectually.

And yet.

Life happens. Pressure builds. Autopilot takes over. And suddenly your capacity to access that knowing collapsed under pressure.

You find yourself doing the exact thing you said you wouldn't do. Reacting in a way you didn't want to. Leaving yourself right when you needed to stay.

And you think, I know better. Why can't I just do it?

The problem isn't that you don't know. The problem is that you haven't practiced it.

Now I bet your inner critic is taking over here and telling you just to work harder. Push through. You will do it next time. Here's how I am challenging this for myself:

  1. Basketball players know exactly what they need to do to make points or win the game. But knowing doesn't make the shots. Practice does.
  2. A baker knows the ingredients in the recipe. But knowing doesn't make the pie turn out flaky and perfectly golden. Practice does.

Same with you.

You know what staying connected to yourself looks like. You know what choosing differently feels like. But knowing and practicing are two completely different things.

When capacity runs out. When life gets hard. When autopilot takes over. You can't just know your way through it.

But you can practice your way through it.

That's what changes people. Not more information. Practice.

This month, we're exploring what you're actually practicing—because once you see it, you can choose to practice something different.
